These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the YakLink website, link-shortening service, and API ("Service"), operated by Yakware, Ltd. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys and account credentials and for all activity that occurs under them. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

2. Free trial & subscriptions

We offer a 30-day free trial subject to a monthly link quota. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Quotas and pricing for each tier are shown on our Pricing page.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to create links that:

• point to malware, phishing, spam, or other unlawful or deceptive content;
• infringe the rights of others or violate applicable law;
• exceed or attempt to circumvent your plan's quota or rate limits;
• interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

We may disable any link or account that breaches this section.

4. Service availability

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. Short links depend on our redirect infrastructure remaining operational.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yakware, Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability shall not exceed the amounts you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

6. Termination

You may cancel at any time from your Account & Billing page. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
